Lactation Smoothies

Not only are these smoothies tasty and nutritious, but they’ll help support milk production. Perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack!

Strawberry Banana Oat Smoothie


This delicious lactation smoothie has three milk-boosting ingredients (oats, brewer's yeast, and flaxseed) to help you increase your milk supply and satisfy your appetite!


  • 1/4 cup oats old fashioned

  • 1 banana

  • ~ 1 cup frozen strawberries 

  • 1/2 cup oat milk (or sub for another milk)

  • 1 tbsp agave syrup (can sub for honey or maple syrup)

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla (optional)

  • 1 tsp brewer's yeast

  • 1 tsp ground flax seed 


  • Put oats into blender and process until the oats are well ground.

  • Add the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.

Papaya Banana Smoothie


Papayas are known to have a lactogenic effect which helps in increasing milk production. It tastes sweet but it’s low in sugar - it also boosts immunity and helps manage post-natal weight.


  • ~1/2 cup of fresh papaya

  • 1 frozen banana

  • 1-2 tbsp of whole fat greek yogurt (plain)

  • 1/2 cup soy milk (or sub for another milk)

  • 1 tsp chia seeds


  • Blend all ingredients until smooth.
