Stop, Drop & ROLL

One of the promises I made to myself this year is to LISTEN to my body and strike a BALANCE between workout and recovery. During an intense workout, the music is blasting and you're adrenaline is pumping - it's easy to push past your limits. One way to ensure adequate recovery and reduce aching muscles is through the use of the wondrous foam roller. 

Foam rolling is an effective and efficient form of myofascial release. Here are 5 reasons to roll:

  1. Improves flexibility and increases joint range of motion
  2. Helps improve circulation by breaking up the tight areas where blood flow may become restricted
  3. Helps reduce stress
  4. Reduces exercise-related soreness
  5. Can prevent injury in conjunction with proper stretching
